Prior to joining WI Harper, Daoping Wang was an associate at SVB Capital in Shanghai covering alternative energy, healthcare and e-commerce, etc. Before that, Daoping was a Senior Engineer at Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC). He spent over five years in semiconductor process development and manufacturing, ranging from 0.18um to 90nm technologies, and was involved in the launch of SMIC's factories in both Shanghai and Beijing, including the first 300mm fabrication foundry in China.

Daoping holds an M.B.A. degree from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. in Biophysics from Nanjing University.
