Dr. Ahmad Bahai, Venture Partner
Dr. Ahmad Bahai is a Fellow and the Chief Technologist of National Semiconductor (NYSE: NSM). He joined the company in January 2000 when it acquired Algorex, an industry-recognized provider of high-performance Digital Signal Processing (DSP) products for wireless and wired broadband communications systems. Dr. Bahai is also an adjunct/consulting professor at Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley. He previously worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a technical manager in Advanced Communications Lab. He served as an editor of IEEE Communication Letters for four years. His research interests include mixed signal processing, VLSI for communication systems, and communication theory. He has authored over 30 technical papers and reports and holds five key patents in the communications and signal processing field including patent and author of many fundamental works in OFDM and wireless communications.
Dr. Bahai has a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of London, Imperial College and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley in 1993.
