Michael joined WI Harper in 2002 as an investment analyst and has grown with the company for the past six years. Michael is responsible for leading investment opportunities in the digital media, e-commerce and consumer-driven service business models. He also plays an active role in assisting the growth of WI Harper’s Beijing office and also WI Harper's U.S. and Taiwanese portfolio companies in their Asia expansion strategies.

Michael brings to the office very strong analytical skills and played an instrumental role in WI Harper’s investment in Focus Media in 2004, working with David Zhang. Michael has recently been ranked by Zero2IPO as one of the top 10 rising stars of China’s Venture Capital Industry in 2006. Within WI Harper, Michael is responsible for investments in Focus Media, HomeE, Troodon, and Panorama.

Michael was born in China and holds a M.S. in technological economics and management and a B.S. in management of information systems from Tsinghua University.
