Francis W. Chen is a venture partner at WI Harper and a private investor. His investment interests are in technology and healthcare-related companies. Francis serves as chairman of the board of Pacific Advantage International and as board member of IDPG, InsiteVision, Dermacia, Trace Life Sciences, SB2, Stealth Peptides, and LogicEase Solutions.

Francis serves on the board of the Stein Eriksen Lodge Owners’ Association and the Macula Foundation – a non-profit organization that funds programs to treat macular degeneration. He has also been a board member of several civic, cultural and educational organizations, such as the Burnham Institute, Groton School, and San Francisco Opera Association.

Francis holds a Ph.D. in immunology from Harvard University. He also holds an M.S. and a B.S. in chemistry from Tufts University.
